"GETTING THRU" TO OPTIMAL HEALTH AND
VITALITY

To have energy to realize our true purpose, we have to be acutely aware of the condition of the physical body. Though many of us have to accept physical problems as an integral part of the lessons we are here to learn, with attention, we may find that we can feel more vibrant and youthful than we ever imagined. This section of the website shares our experience and some of the things we have learned over the years that has helped us to achieve optimal health. After more than a decade of research and experimentation on ourselves, we have found some things that we feel are keys to achieving and maintaining youthful vitality. We do, of course, have to mention that we are not medical professionals, so none of the suggestions we make are intended to replace appropriate treatment, when indicated, by a qualified and enlightened medical professional. We further recommend consulting this medical professional about any diet, exercise program, and supplements you are considering. TRANSCENDING LIMITATION As with other aspects of realizing our divine purpose, our experience has shown us the importance of transcending the limitations of societal archetypes related to health, and particularly the medical system. We start here, because our approach is holistic and natural. One of the best resources we have found for understanding the distortions within the medical community is the website of Dr. Joseph Mercola, an MD who has been able to see beyond the programming that is so prevalent in his profession. Dr. Mercola's website is an incredible resource of enlightening articles by a number of medical professionals along with himself. EFT users may be familiar with him, as he uses EFT in his medical practice. On the mercola.com website, there is an interesting article entitled "The Doors Of Perception: Why Americans Will Believe Almost Anything" that summarizes the problem: "We are the most conditioned, programmed beings the world has ever known. Not only are our thoughts and attitudes continually being shaped and molded; our very awareness of the whole design seems like it is being subtly and inexorably erased." The article continues to effectively illustrate how Americans have bought into distortions in perception related to widely accepted medical practices. This article points to the idea that each of us needs to take responsibility for our health and reach outside of the imagined safety of generally accepted medical practice. Dr. Mercola refers to his as becoming "independently healthy." Contrary to public opinion, many doctors may actually be hazardous to our health. We refer to another article on mercola.com entitled "Doctors Are the Third Leading Cause of Death in the US, Causing 250,000 Deaths Every Year." As a note, this information comes from the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Rather than being bound in the limitations of the current medical paradigm, which focuses on providing drugs and surgical procedures when serious conditions present themselves, we have shifted to ways to produce health in all of the cells and systems of the body. Fortunately, there are pioneers who are making inroads in the medical community who can guide us in this direction. In our explorations, which we know many of our readers are likewise pursuing, we have come across some methods for restoring and maintaining vibrant health that are relatively easy and affordable. In our own case, we were not able to become vibrantly healthy until we did this, because the solutions to our health problems, particularly Jane's, were not to be found within generally accepted medical practice. Quite the contrary. After years of visiting scores of doctors for a variety of health problems, Jane found her health spiraling rapidly downward and we know many others who have had similar experiences. As avid users of EFT and SK, which are both amazingly powerful methods, we also have to say that we have not found that either approach alone could achieve the level of physical vitality we were seeking. They can be quite effective with physical problems in some cases and both are quite effective with the emotional, mental, and spiritual imbalances that can effect physical health. We do recommend trying them with physical conditions and clearing the other levels to maximize your potential for achieving vibrant health. We are both in our 50’s now, so we have had an opportunity to confirm how important it is to be consistent with our health goals. We have faced challenges to our health and well-being, and overcome them with the approaches we discuss here, but it has taken some time and consistency. We have also discovered some things that we want to do permanently to maintain our health and vitality. One of the problems we had earlier in our lives was staying with a plan. We would try something and as soon as we felt a little better, we would stop. Gradually, almost without noticing, our health would descend again. Then, rather than going back to the thing that worked, we would try something else. Especially with Jane, this see-saw approach was devastating. Fortunately, we have been able to reverse the difficulties she encountered, but we are hoping that our readers can avoid making the same mistake. Younger and healthier readers also have an opportunity to get a head start and hopefully to avoid some of the problems we have faced. To be your personal best, you will probably need to have a plan and follow it consistently.
