A site devoted to exploring the deeper meaning of life...

Awakenings' mission centers upon three soulful themes that weave their ways through the collective awareness of growing numbers of individuals who are being drawn to callings in service of humanity. These themes include:

Currently, people like ourselves exist as Islands of consciousness scattered over the landscape. Many of us do not feel that forms of our society have a place for us, but it is time to reconsider. We have the opportunity to move beyond complaining and reacting. Together, we can create in a positive direction. The United States, which was created on the foundation of religious freedom, allows us to freely express and practice our spiritual/religious beliefs and Awakenings was created to provide a spiritual community for the Islands of consciousness that are seeking a form for the realization of their true divine purposes.

With the creation of a new path and a place of belonging, together we can make positive changes in the world. Awakenings invites you to join us. Each of us can participate in the invention of this new religious structure, develop a tangible presence within our society, and bring the dream into being. We have much to offer individually and there is much that we can gain from each other. It is time for us to reclaim our religious freedoms, create a substantial place for ourselves in our world, and reach out to people who are waking up worldwide.

As Christopher Reeve stated, “So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.”

Ordination with Awakenings provides a unique opportunity for spiritual practitioners who are want to use their skills in service to others locally and, potentially, as part of our worldwide spiritual community. As an ordained minister, you can realize your spiritual mission with all of the blessings provided to all ordained persons in the United States, including:

A variety of spiritually and holistically oriented programs you have already taken from a variety of sources may qualify you for admission into the Ordination Program. These courses do not have to be directly from Awakenings Institute. This includes programs focusing on spiritual counseling, Reiki and other forms of energy healing, hypnotherapy, holistic healing and holistic health practices, meridian-based approaches, and much more. Please feel free to contact Awakenings to discuss your qualifications and program requirements if you have any questions as you review this information.

Ordination requires a total of 500 hours of relevant training. Awakenings Ordination Program itself qualifies for 40 of these hours and up to 50 hours of volunteer time with Awakenings may also be included in the required hours.

In the attitude of silence, the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness.
