How to Be More Intuitive 

Beyond the physical, everything is energy. Intuition is the key that opens up our awareness of the energetic worlds that surround us. Just as there are many rewards for sharpening our five senses, we can reap great benefits by developing our intuitive sense.

We all are endowed with intuition, but it often lies dormant because we don’t develop this ability. Phillip Mountrose, co-author of the new spiritual growth program Intuitive Techniques for Getting Thru to Your Soul, offers these tips on how to be more intuitive:

Intend to develop your intuition. What you focus on grows.

Align your intuition with your spiritual development. Instead of trying to use intuition to win the lottery or find the perfect mate, tie it into your spiritual growth. Wealth and healthy relationships may then be natural byproducts of your intuitive/spiritual development. 

Trust your first answer or hunch. Stop your rational mind from criticizing, and thereby censoring, your intuitive promptings. You can analyze it later. 

Develop your inner senses: inner vision, inner hearing, inner knowing, inner taste and smell. You can explore these areas in guided visualizations and meditations. 

Allow for the possibility of error. Just as our five senses do not always work perfectly, our intuitive knowing can sometimes be off the mark.

Note synchronicities in your life. How does the outer world mirror your inner world? Does that flat tire mean you are running out of energy? Is that comment you heard on TV telling you something about your own life?

Include the unpredictable. Our intuition reveals unconscious and unknown aspects of our lives. It does not easily lend itself to the five-senses-based, predictable standards of science. Yet it can access the truth in ways that transcends science.

Intuition holds keys to our evolution as it most deeply connects with our higher awareness. As we become more intuitive, our possibilities expand and our appreciation of life grows.
