2. MANIFESTING CLOSE, SOULFUL RELATIONSHIPS

Over the years we have found key factors that connect people in deep, soulful ways. As many of our readers, clients, and students have expressed, finding soulful close relationships can be a challenge.

Sometimes people struggle to find that "perfect" relationship. They can end up looking for love in the wrong places, such as trying to be satisfied with food, drink, other substances or activities. And many others just attract people who are not really compatible.

Those challenging relationships, however difficult, do hold clues to self-discovery, which can lead to sovereign, compatible relationships. We discuss clearing blocks regularly in this newsletter along with many resources on our gettingthru.org website.

Here are some practical guidelines to help you find soulful, close relationships that are so fulfilling.

YOUR IDEAL RELATIONSHIPS

First, state what you want in your relationships. Include your values (that should be harmonious with your partner's) such as honesty, integrity, lightheartedness, openness and so on.

RELATIONSHIP CHECKLIST

Next, consider six key areas that comprise a wonderful relationship, based on your heart and soul's true desires. If you already are in a relationship, then consider your answers for that person to see how compatible they are with you.

In answering the six following question, answer for you toward the other person and the other person toward you. Measure between 1-10, with 10 being the highest.

As a note, if it's a relationship you wish to attract, you'll probably want the highest level for each category. If your current relationship doesn't match your ideal, you might reflect on what you can do to elevate the current relationship, or find one that is more compatible. This probably includes some self-examination.

Remember you can only change yourself, and in so doing it might make it easier for the other person to change. But that's up to the other person.

1. Accept the person including faults and differences

2. Explore thoughts and feelings freely

3. Have trust and confidentiality

4. Support for one's passion and excitement

5. Help lift one up and be supportive when down

6. Feel the person complements one's spiritual interests

After completing the above list, you should have a good idea about what you want, from a more soulful perspective. By the way, many people overlook the last important item, about complementary spiritual interests. Again, if your current partner "scores" low in some areas, that is something to meditate on. Perhaps you might want to do some EFT and Spiritual Kinesiology to gain insight on why you are involved with a person who isn't too soulfully compatible with you.

Consider the possibility of karmic reasons why you were drawn together and soul agreements. But whatever the reasons, don't let this be a justification to stay in an unsatisfying relationship. We realize this may be easier said than done, but by beginning the process described in this newsletter you will be on your way to more soulful relationships, and/or acknowledging those you already have. A relationship either mostly uplifts you or brings you down. Go for the joyous ones!

BODY TYPE ATTRACTION AND MANIFESTING YOUR DREAMS

It's easy to find someone who is physically attractive. That is a matter of body type attraction (as we discuss in our Awaken to Your True Purpose program (see http://www.gettingthru.org/spurpose.htm). But this kind of attraction, although sometimes very compelling, will not be long lasting or deeply satisfying unless the other items on the Relationship Checklist are compatible.

Remember that you deserve someone who is also compatible with you emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
