Over the past decade of teaching certification programs, our students have been extremely happy with the trainings. We feel confident that you will, too. However in the case of emergency or other circumstances, we offer a cancellation policy.
Awakenings maintains a policy for refunding the unused portion of tuition in the event the student withdraws or is discontinued from the program. The policy is as follows:
For cancellation requests made more than 14 days before the beginning of teleconference program, there is a $100 processing fee plus the cost of the study materials that have been shipped.
Within 2 days of the start of the teleconference program and up to the date of the first teleconference, the student is responsible for the first monthly payment. By this time, others potential students may have been turned away and would not be able to begin upon such short notice.
After the date of the first teleconference, the student is responsible for the current monthly payment and will not be charged for any future tuition payments. If the student prepaid in full for the course, the total payments due at the time of cancellation are calculated according to the monthly payment plan and the remainder will be refunded. Again, students may have been turned away if the class was filled, and they will not be able to begin once the program has started.
All cancellation requests must be made by certified mail with the Notice of Cancellation, which is included in the training manual. The effective date of withdrawal will be the date of personal notification or the date postmarked. If a teleconference must be cancelled due to a natural disaster, crisis, or instructor illness, it will be rescheduled. |
